Summer Schedule Posted on WebSite

The June summer schedule is posted on the website along with the July tryout prep workshop and the 2011-2012 tryout date.

Since our nationals is not until July, we will be dancing in June and the first week of July. We will take the week off after recital to rest. The company students will be billed your regular monthly rate in June and that will also cover the first week of July. For example, if you are in small group, you will pay the $90 and this will cover the unlimited classes for the 5 weeks of the June/July classes, all others will pay the $75 regular monthly rate. This includes your rehearsal times and unlimited classes for your age group at no extra cost. Solos, duo/trio and small group rehearsals are not on the June schedule yet.

We have also scheduled the July Summer Extreme Workshop. This workshop is open to all Legacy students and students outside of Legacy Dance. We will be bringing in guest teachers to teach along with our normal staff. The workshop will be July 25 thru July 29. We will also use this workshop as a tryout prep workshop and follow up with the 2011-2012 Company Tryouts on Saturday, July 30.

What to expect for the 2011-2012 Competition Season? We have all worked very very hard this year and have accomplished much. We are so proud of each of you! Thank you for your committments and hours and hours of rehearsals.

We like to keep offering options for all of our dancers. We know some of you want to dance as much as possible to prepare to dance at the college level while others only want to compete at more of the recreational level. For the 2011-2012 year, we will be offering different levels of participation. We will provide more details later.

Enjoy This Time

You are all such a blessing to us. We are so excited for you all this weekend. Enjoy this time with your daughter and sons. When they are 25 years old, they won't remember if they won or lost dance competitions but they will remember all the love and good times you had spending this time together and how hard their parents have worked to create their costumes and make sure they get to their dance classes. You are making a difference in the lives. Parents, thanks to you all for all your support to Legacy Dance Studio and to your children. You are a wonderful group and we are truly blessed. Cal Girl Update

The capri tights won't be in the studio until Friday for california girls. We will bring them to the competition with us or you can drop by the studio on Friday and Andy or Kenny will give the tights to you. They will be at the studio from 4:30 pm until 6:15 pm. Still not sure if the flowers are going to make it. I have ordered from 2 different companies now. We will keep our fingers crossed on the flowers.

Request for Prop Crew

Live and let Die and Sweet Child both has props that we will need to carry on to the stage within a 2 minute time period or we will be penalized. This weekend we have Kenny and Andy that can help but we will need 4 more Dads for Sweet Child and at least 3 more Dads for Live and Let Die. These dances perform at 9 am and 10:20 am on Sunday morning. Please let us know if you can help. Thanks so very much!

Funky Info

Thanks to all the funky parents for continuing to add to the costume. Sorry we have gotten down to the last few days to finish up the details on this costume, but after this week there will be no more costuming until next year! Thanks to you all for being so helpful to each other and working as a team. We will need the Pink Nouveau lipstick for Funky. This is a MAC lipstick. I will pick up a couple of tubes at the mall today.
